Applications
The innovation represented by Skid Concept makes possible a wide range of safe driving courses. The mobility and effectiveness of the device enables it to be used anywhere, for local and regional authorities, for companies, on pre-equipped vehicles or those used by their usual drivers. BBE Developpement’s Skid Concept training courses are principally aimed at enabling drivers to understand and react to extreme situations.
On-board electronics
The system installed on a vehicle in this way enables drivers to discover or appreciate the potential of electronic driving aids (chassis control systems) such as ABS, ESP, SSP, ASR etc. As the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle are not modified by the system (the wheels still rotate and are in contact with the road, the ground clearance is not modified, and the on-board unsprung weight negligible).
In addition, the concept can be adapted to a number of activities, such as the presentation of new on-board technologies (new generation ESP etc.), road safety campaigns, public events etc.
